I was on a highway exit ramp (exit 5 off northbound I-395) when my airbags deployed (driver and both sides). My car veered off the asphalt and then quickly I got control and continued out of traffic on a residential side road just off route 7 westbound. My car then abruptly stoped. I managed to restart it a couple of times and run it just enough to get it off the road . I have attached photos. There does not appear to be any resulting damage to the body of the car. There were no outstanding recalls on the vehicle. I have reported the incident to my insurance (geico).
Unknown.
While driving on the highway (I-75) in michigan on April 2, 2022 the sunroof exploded for no apparent reason.
I received a recall notice, scheduled an appointment and then went to bev smith Toyota in fort pierce, FL. My appointment was for 9:30 am. I decided that as long as I was there, I would get my oil changed (normally I do not use dealer oil changes because they are expensive, but since I was there anyway. . . ). At 11:10, I was presented the bill for the oil change and told that they refused to service the airbag. There was some garbage on the floor of the passenger side that the service manager claimed rendered my vehicle unsafe to work on. I pointed out that no one asked me to clean out the front seat when I scheduled the appointment, that the items were there at 9:30 when received the car, and that the car apparently was safe enough for them to perform an overpriced oil change. I offered to remove the items (it later took me all of 3 minutes to clear the area). The service manager refused and refused to complete the recall work. He still demanded payment for the oil change and was unwilling to compensate me for my wasted time.
The vehicle keeps bogging out. The fuel system keeps failing and the struts sound and feel like they are going to collapse.
The problem I noticed with this vehicle, was with the brakes every time I would brake the vehicle would not stop on command the car would continue to glide. This was reported to the dealership numerous times and the response I received was basically I did not know what I was talking about and I was imagining this problem. Until this day the problem has not been resolved. The second incident happened when my fiance was in an head on collision in my car, the frontal airbag did not deploy as a result he injured his neck and back. The repairs were done on my car by the dealership ,and know my air conditioning system does not work properly and that also has been reported to the dealership and they refuse to resolve the problem which had occurred after my vehicle had been taken to them for repairs. The lights in my dash board have almost completely gone out.
I was driving my Toyota Corolla and everything worked. Nothing out of the ordinary happened. I was able to accelerate, brake, listen to the radio, ac on high and get 30mpg in the city. Something must be wrong with my car. Nhtsa and the media has convinced me that I might die while driving my Toyota and yet I feel just as safe as ever. Please help me. Thank you.
Floor mat moved and hinder the gas pedal.
i purchased a new 2003 toyota corolla and from day one it has had a horrid odor in cold weather months, a smell like rotten eggs. i have been to the dealership repeatedly and they say there is nothing wrong with the car, that it is the gas. not true! the smell is so bad that at times i cannot stand to run the heater, and people driving behind me can smell it too. the dealership has totally ignored all complaints. *la
