I take my 6yr to school when we got shocked, I thought it was my clothes, but my child got shocked also, then pick her up from school took her to the doctor for her foot, I merged out to the main road and the SUV cut off no warning lights of any kind I got it back started after three attempts then about a minute after that the radio cut off , I made it back home and called the dealer they told me to call roadside, I spoke to them , I had my husband to follow me to the dealership, I dropped it of ,they called me and told me it ready for pick up, and told me they could not replicate it ,.

Reported to dealer & scheduled for service April 21, 2021 & I was advised Tech Service Bulletin was issued but no resolution yet. Scheduled for 5000 miles service this month (August 2021) & advised no resolution yet.Update from Aug 25, 2021: Dealer advises GM Tech Service Bulletin PIT5778A issued. I am unable to locate this TSB. Dealer Service Tech noted on invoice he found that cause could be by the"torch condition between the bottom surface of the radiator upper bracket and the top of the radiator tank. Engineering is working on a fix for this concern."After over an hour on chat with GM Customer Support and getting cut off once, went back to chat and they said can't find a Tech Service Bulletin PIT5778A and I should contact CEM (Customer Experience Manager) at the dealer. Contacted the dealer and waiting for further information. They had another Equinox coming in for service on same issue.

Loud rumbling noise, vibration when backing up and at low forward speeds up 40 mph. Worse at 35-45 mph during slow acceleration. Been to dealer twice and they advise there is a tech service bulletin but no solution. It reportedly is a problem with all 2021 Equinox. Don't understand why GM can't come up with a resolution. They reportedly have identified the problem but not a solution.Update from Nov 22, 2021: Dealer reports TSB PIT5778A Viibration or Boom at 1300 rpm. Found cause could be by torch (Tourq?) condition between bottom surface of the radiator upper bracket and the top of the radiator upper bracket and top of the radiator tank. Engineering is working on a fix for this concern 1086218 .3

click to see larger images Purchased new vehicle from local dealer. The window build sheet is lists 3 factory installed options not actually in the car. Our mistake was driving a similar car and not this vehicle as it was on the show room floor. The dealer offered some accessories for the mistake. Every Equinox with the "sport edition" on the lot had the same mistake so there are many others out there. GM has offered satisfaction programs for other missing accessories like the home link but for this issue. If you have one missing options please let GM know.

I drove car to work with no problems, no lights on on the dashboard, no check engine light. I get off work 8 hours later and the car won't start. I was told it was the starter so I had starter changed and the car still didn't start so I got a new battery. And the car still doesn't start so I get it to the shop and they tells me the engine is locked and I need to replace the engine. I had no warnings, and no issue at all with the car no check engine signal, no nothing - and I've only driven this car 36000 miles and to replace engine is 2500 dollars.

The rubber support structure around the center support bearing for the RWD driveshaft failed and the driveshaft was simply laying in the support loop! There was no real indication of this problem I simply found it by visual inspection just checking the vehicle out! The repair was a relatively simple DIY project although the two piece driveshaft disassembly and center u-joint removeal required a bit of blacksmith approach with hammer, press and heat to get all the parts to separate due to rust and corrosion. The splined yoke for the u-joint was the problem child. When finished the propshaft is like new. Aftermarket kit used which included a new center support bearing/support loop assembly and a center u-joint. Since the center u-joint must be removed to dissassemble the center support bearing. Really not that big of a deal but the takeaway is that the problem was not even evident driving the vehicle on normal dry pavement and the propshaft was lying in the support loop with the rubber isolator for the bearing totally disentigrated.

It was my first brand new car. I have drove many hoopie mobile in my life time you know those cars the one you taped here and there had rust everywhere they were not the best looking cars but they did get you where you needed to go. Well you can imagine my excitement getting my first brand new car. It drove great I got mt oil changed every 3000 miles then this year of course it is paid off it started overheating during the end of the summer , I replace the thermostat put coolant in it and didn't have any problem. I thought everything was fine. Then it happened it started overheating on the way to work of course on the coldest day of the year . Now stranded I take it to my mechanic and he gives me the bad news. I BLEW THE HEAD GASKET!!! What are you sure he told me he has done many of these car same problem. How can a car with 60,000 miles blow a head gasket. I have drove those hoopie mobiles into the ground hell I have a 1973 vw van in my garage that has 200,000 miles on the same engine never had that kind of problem!!! Why am I writing this because we bailed that car company from bankruptcy . And they want me to buy their cars!
