The driver's door has already snapped and the other three are cracked in the same area. In order to get into the car now, you have to open another door, reach across and open the driver's door from the inside. I've looked to see if there is a recall and that's what led me to this site. If you have any info on the problem, please contact me and I'm going to look further into it to see if I can generate a recall (if that's possible). I don't know how recalls are issued. I'm looking all that up now.
My 2004 Chevrolet Tracker started making a small squeaky noise when I make a left turn. Sometimes you can hardly hear it. It does not do it all the time. This started after I had the brakes, pads, and rotors replaced. I am the second owner of this vehicle but I did not buy it brand new.
I bought this car used from ford dealership, salesman told me the engine vibrates because of bad motor mounts. I had the mounts replaced engine still shake and vibrates. I have the vehicle at a Chevrolet service center now and they are not finding the cause of the vibration very easily. I'm thinking Chevrolet is using engines that go out of balance after so many miles. Especially after I read a complaint from some one else on the previous page that sounded very familiar to my problem. Has anyone else had this problem with their 2003 Chevrolet Tracker and were you able to solve this engine vibration. HELPwalternolen56@yahoo.com
I have a 2003 Chevrolet Tracker with a Suzuki engine in it & when I come to a stop, it shakes so bad. Need to know what I can do for this problem asap. Thanks.
The transmission is auto, 4wd, and unexpectedly jumps out of overdrive for no apparent reason. Sometimes it will happen every few miles, then again it may not happen for nearly a week. The dealer keeps saying he thinks he has found the problem and I keep paying him, but so far no fix.Does anyone have the same problem and found a fix?
I traveled from Tn. to Florida and midway noticed a rattle noise and sort of a scraping noise while in low gear, and with the trans in neutral the noise was more pronounced with the clutch pedal up!! Once the clutch pedal was fully depressed the noise went away! One more thing, after parking overnight the noise was not there until the vehicle was driven a couple miles [warmed the trans lube ], then re occurred!! This vehicle is driven daily by a responsible adult and was never abused and has regular maintenance!! It is a 03 4 door 4/4 Tracker with manual transmission 2L engine! Any help would be appreciated as I have 800 miles between where I am and home!! Would it be safe to drive it home in this condition or would the trans destroy itself if driven in this condition ??
Major and dangerous problem with interior door handles that have snapped and broken off. The 2 front handles are hanging by a thread and MUST be opened with 2 hands The back door handles have been removed as they were completely broken. A passenger in the back seat can only exit the car by having someone else open the door from the outside.
The problem still persisted even after I paid $1600 to a mechanic to put in a brand new radiator. Very irritated that I didn't even get 100,000 miles out of this car before it became not drivable.
I stepped on the brakes and the pedal went to the floor!! I checked and the all the brake lines were rusted from the front firewall to the back wheels. The lines were leaking in many places.
I purchased this vehicle Dec.2013. I thought the exterior lights would turn on if the weather conditions warranted it, like if it was dark day, cloudy, etc. but that is not the case. There is no way to turn the exterior lights off. I heard that it was an electrical problem. like a fuse or something. I have not fixed this problem. I am afraid to pay $300.00 to fix a simple fuse problem or electrical problem. That is my story and I am sticking by it.
