Dealer doesn't think there is a problem. It is just the "Booster" kicking in. Give me a break. It hesitates and shimmies like a pole dancer. I want it fixed.
When yielding onto a busy road (right turn), the transmission hesitates to enguage for a second or two. Speed: 60km/h slowing to 10-30 km/h, engine running normally, AWD; when accelerator is applied, there is a delayed reaction. Not good in busy traffic. Only noticed in above scenario where quick acceleration is necessary.
I just purchased this vehicle 2 weeks ago and notice the transmission shifting was sluggish. Today I was driving on the highway and coming out of an exit ramp I notice the entire vehicle vibrates really bad. As I was driving on the highway I thought it was the bad road, so I switched to a smoother lane, and it still vibrates like crazy. i slowed down to 50 mph and the vibration subsides. I sped up to 60 it vibrate and shake the entire car like the wheels are falling off. I pulled off the highway into a parking lot and called a tow truck. I had it towed to a local dealership. Waiting to hear from the dealer in the morning to see what the problem is. This is a brand new vehicle with only 1570 miles on it. I am very disappointed with my purchase and with Ford quality.
Ford sent some transmission parts to replace and after a road test the problem still there. Now they have to uninstall the trans again. Ford didn't want to send a new transmission. I'm really pissed off. Would never buy a Ford vehicle again.
I was driving in stop and go traffic. When we did move it was only 1 car length. This went on for at least 5 minutes. I stopped, the engine shut off, when it turned back on, my foot was still on the brake, it lunged forward and hit the car in front of me. At first I thought that I was hit from behind, pushing me forward, because I still had my foot on the break. I am being charged with this accident being my fault. I have read 2 other complaints of the cars lurching forward, however neither one of them resulted in an accident. Auto start/stop was on at the time.
My screen goes out and comes back on from time to time. I never took it to have it looked at, and wish I would have. I also have my driver alert and pre-collision lights flash on my dash when there would be nothing around me and no reason for driver alert either. I HATE THIS VEHICLE AND I STILL OWE A LOT ON IT - AND NOW I HAVE ALL THESE ISSUES.
Display has been "sticking" for the past year and it's getting worse. I start the vehicle and do not know what time it is, cannot use navigation system and I do not know what the heat and air is on because nothing shows. It stays on after the vehicle has been turned off as well. I had one occurrence of the air conditioner not working on my way to work but it did work on the way home from work.
Horn almost caused an accident, as no one could hear it.
FORD has an electrical problem with its electrical start. It won't recognize the lock signal when you try to lock your car. It tells you the KEY FOB is not detected when you are sitting in your car holding your key fob. Therefore your car won't start. I had the same problem with my Explorer and thought it was the Explorer so I traded it in for a 2019 Ford Edge. Now 3 months past purchase with only 4,000 miles, I am having the same problem with my Edge. Next step for me is to get a SUBARU, I have read good reviews on this vehicle. I CAN NOT be someplace and not be able to start my car!!!!I took my Explorer in to the dealership multiple times with them telling me it was my battery in my key fob! Of course after a new battery and a new key fob it STILL kept giving me the KEY FOB NOT DETECTED. So I traded it in on the Edge, now I am having the same type of issue with the Edge. FORD has a problem and will probably be losing this long standing customer.
New car stopped in the middle of a red light 3 times doing to the dealer. Dealer said we can't take a look at it until 3 weeks. I live in Michigan and this happen in Indiana. The dealer said to find a way to get home, they didn't give me a retail car or nothing.
