The pcs (pre collision system) warning icon flashed in the display indicating that the pcs was temporarily unavailable. The vehicle was being driven on a highway. Pulled over to look in the owners manual only to find that the manual told me to stop. We proceeded to return home without experiencing any adverse handling. I really don't feel safe driving the car not knowing if the pcs system will fail.
Door locks do not lock via key fob on 3 doors. Lexus wants $800 per door to fix. Have manually locked car for one year; now cannot manually lock door as the manual lock no longer locks. This is safety issue as car remains unlocked at all times.
i received a safty recall notice from lexus indicating my engine crankshft pulley may loose and cause loss of power steering. i called lexus and they said i had to take the vehicle to a lexus dealer. since there isn't a lexus dealer in my hometown they informed me that the closest dealers were at least 150 miles from my home. i bought the car at a local used car dealership that is no longer in business. i asked if they could certify my local toyota dealer to do the inspection and they said no. if this defect is on my vehicle it would be unsafe to drive 150 miles to get to their certified dealer. if there is an accident on my way to the inspection who is liable? they will be. i want them to accomodate me by certifying the local toyota dealer to do an inspection for me. *tr
mp3, radio and cd player do not work. no sound or txt on screen. the lights flash nonstop. cd will not eject. all the fuses have been checked and are good. i just turned the car on one day and it was not working. *tr
my brand new es300h shows different milauge capacity each time i fill the tank. when i purchased it brand new it showed the driving range of 675 miles with full tank. since then it has been continuously dropping by 20 to 30 miles each time i fill it up. now i will be lucky if i can get even 500 miles range. i showed it to two different dealers in dallas, texas area. they both claim that the car is adjusting to my driving style (that indirectly means i am a bad driver). it has been 3.5 months since i purchased it and it is still dropping. can driving style make that big a difference (nearly 200 miles less than the original range indicated)? i don't think so and i believe that dealers themselves do not know what is going on with my engine/ hybrid system. but they refuse to do anything about this problem.
