my master power switch stopped working in 2014. i can't understand why the 2005 rav4 was not on the list for the recall. windows will not go up and down.
My car is Toyota Rav4 2022 premium xle have many safety issues -during I'm braking/ hold button and standing on the light I find the car is jumping to front many times it was going to hit some one of pedsterian and car front of me ( it was like starting engine with jumping) - precollsion system doesn't work while doen't see any cars front of me while going to traffice light - keep lane assistant doesn't work and is not senstive sometime my car get out of the lane during I'm driving - sometime keep lane assistant system pushing the car to get out of the lane.
The contact owns a 2019 Toyota Rav4. The contact stated that upon accelerating from a stop, the vehicle lunged forward. The vehicle was uncontrollable. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, who informed the contact that there were no open recalls on the VIN. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and referred the contact to the local dealer for assistance. The approximate failure mileage was 36,000.
I was driving on an interstate highway with th speed control on in extremely light traffic and very heavy, slushy snow when the brakes were applied full and the instrument panel flashed red. There were (fortunately) no other vehicles in front or behind me. Since there was no reason for stopping, I stepped on the accelerator and the vehicle operated normally except that I was no longer able to use the speed control. Calls to Toyota's 800 number were of no help, but a service advisor at sunrise Toyota suggested cleaning slush off the Toyota logo on the grill. After cleaning the logo, the car operated normally. Toyota subsequently examined the car at the dealer and determined that it was operating as designed. I believe that the vehicle's software design is defective and must be redesigned.
The Toyota adaptive cruise control keeps a safe distance to the vehicle in front, slowing and accelerating properly to keep a set distance even down to a full stop. However, when traveling at any speed and another car enters my lane immediately in front of my vehicle the system does not recognize the new vehicle and how close it is to the front of my vehicle. It does not slow at all even if the distance to the intruder is only a car length or less. I have to manually brake quickly to prevent following to close and causing a possible rear end collision. This happens every time a car squeezes in from of me with the adaptive cruse on and is very repeatable. I've experienced it in another new rav 4 too. This has been repeatably going on since the vehicle was purchased new on Jan, 2020.
I demand that the airbags in my car be fixed immediately. It has been a year since I paid for them and they are still not working. This is a serious safety issue, and I cannot afford to wait any longer.
What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? when driving the Rav4 the dashboard started to alert that different systems where failing. For example, it was flashing blind spot failure, land departure failure, front collision failure. It the warnings where non-stop while driving the car flashing through the different messages. Yes the car is available for inspection. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? with all the systems altering failure the car no longer became safe to drive and had the potential to stall while driving. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? yes, the Toyota service center determined that the car was unsafe to drive due to the failure of the internal wire harness shorting out. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? yes, but a Toyota service center. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? no symptoms, the dashboard just started lighting up like a christmas tree on 7/15.

The vehicle was driven to an independent mechanic who stated that the repair would cost approximately $4,700. The dealer and manufacturer were not contacted. The failure mileage was 32,000.

I did not realize that the Rav4 class action was even filed. I own a rav 4 2003 and I never received a letter informing that there was a problem with this vehicle. I have 103,000 miles on it. I take it to the dealer on a regular base . Recently 3/25, 2016 it started to run rough, and was difficult to accelerate. I took it to my Toyota dealer and they stated that they would adjust the ecm which they did and told me to drive it another 100 miles. Well, I asked them what happens if the problem persists and they said then we replace the ecm for $ 1100 dollars if that does not fix it they said they would charge me $6,000 dollars for a new transmission. At the time I did not realize how many other people who owned this model had this problem. So I took it home and have been driving it. I am a home dialysis nurse and travel quite frequently to patient¿s homes who depend upon me when they are having problems with their dialysis treatments. Well, needless to say, I was working late and coming home on a main highway pm 03/31/2016 and it hesitates to shift when merging and shakes. I was almost hit from behind but lucky it finally engaged and I was able to pull over in a nearby parking lot. I called my Toyota dealer and told them and they went on to say well we then have to replace the ecm etc. I told them about my search regarding the problems with this model and they put the manager on the line. I told him about by research etc. He said he would then find parts from a discarded rav 4. Now I am without a car, which will affect the lives of my patient¿s, and how reliable will it be if they are going to the junk yard for parts to repair it. Please help me.
