The ignition system of the vehicle is faulty. The engine keeps stalling intermittently and the vehicle shuts down. The issue has been observed at both low and high speeds. The issue occurs on average once in two weeks. This issue has put our family's safety in jeopardy. We filed a complaint with Honda but they are not willing to help with addressing this issue. This issue has been a problem for several years with no restitution from Honda. We need to be compensated usd 2. 5million for the stress and aggravation this issue has caused us and for putting our family's safety in jeopardy. Please help us by arranging for mediation services with Honda motor company of America. Thank you.
i purchased a 2003 honda accord in october 2002 - i have had the brakes/rotors replaced twice. i'm concerned over safety. what recourse is available once the car is no longer under warranty and i am going through brakes and rotors approximately every 8000 miles? in addition, i noticed very soon after purchase that at initial start up, and until car had been driven for awhile there is a "chatter" noise. i thought at first it was my imagination, as this was something had heard in older cars - such as a lifter chatter. it has become increasingly noticeable and at some start up times sounds like a diesel. at apprx 23,000 i requested the dealer to check for the noise, but by the time the car gets to the dealer there is no longer the cold start, and it no longer makes the noise.
i purchased this vehicle new in november 2001. i noticed that the transmission would not shift correctly from 1st to 2nd and read some complaints from other owners with the same problem. i took the vehicle to the local honda dealer for inspection and was told there was nothing to worry about. the problem has persisted since and has gotten worse as it gets older. please advise of any kind of recourse i may have should a transmission replacement be necessary. i did have one solenoid on the transmission replaced a year or so ago as well as a motor mount. *tr
The car runs fine however the engine just seems to have endless problems. I’ve replaced the valve seals, head gaskets, spark plugs and so on and the problem has only gotten worse. The engine won’t stop backfiring and it’s smoking a lot more than it used to (not to mention the oil disappearing after a few 5 minute startups and gas has been used up a bit more than it should be. As a first car I thought that a Honda would be a great choice. The universe has obviously attempted to contradict itself. Next time I buy a car, I might as well just buy the Elantra I wanted to begin with. Do not buy a Honda with any history of problems, even if they can be fixed, because sometimes they can’t be fixed for the amount of money you were willing to spend on it. The parts aren’t cheap either, they need all these special gimmicky sh*t.
