6 disc changer is jammed and producing an error message. will not eject or load cds. chevy dealership said it is unfixable, recommended replacing it with an aftermarket unit. tech acknowledged the recurring complaints similar to mine. problem still exist. i am hesitating to replace with another factory unit. very frustrating, based on other online complaints and forums voicing their complaints of the same issue. again, seems like a factory/manufacturing defect that will fall onto the shoulders of the consumer. thanks gm. *tr
tl*the contact owns a 2008 chevrolet equinox. while driving 25 mph in rainy conditions, the rear of the vehicle moved sideways uncontrollably. she took the vehicle to the dealer and they stated that the failure was a normal characteristic. in addition, the engine warning indicator consistently illuminates on the instrument panel. the gas caps were replaced three times, but the failure typically resurfaces shortly after the repair. thirdly, the radio:cd:tape:deck fails sporadically and prevents a music cd from being ejected. lastly, the air conditioner does not blow out of the side vents, which prevents air from disseminating properly. as of march 31, 2009, the technicians are re-inspecting the vehicle to determine the cause of the failures. the failure and current mileages were 26,000. updated 04/21/09. *lj updated 04/21/09.*jb
2007 chevy equinox. water leaks into spare tire well. i never had occasion to look in the spare tire well as i have never had a flat tire so i don't know when it started leaking. but after checking on the internet i find that this is an ongoing problem with this vehicle from the very first time that gm started producing this vehicle. *tr
at aprox 100k miles the cd player jammed and won't play cds nor eject or accept them. since i cannot afford to fix this the cd player says it has an error all the time and attempts to clear the error and runs and runs. it still remains jammed and still gives me an error across the screen every 10 minutes. *tr
