2012 chverolet Equinox. Consumer states problem with towing the vehicle the consumer stated according to the manual, that in order to tow the vehicle on all four wheels, the number 32 fuse must be removed. However, when it was removed, the 12 volt receptacle was disconnected which rendered the brake buddy non-functional. Updated 11/27/12.

Power steering failure.
On January 16, 2021, I was traveling down main street in round rock, texas where I rear ended another vehicle at approximately 30 mph. As I slammed on my brakes to stop, I felt my brakes started pulsating, making it difficult for me to come to a complete stop. My car was deemed unrepairable, and was a total loss. The radiator was cracked, and the frame was bent making it difficult to open the door. I had a couple bruises not severe that I needed to go to the hospital. My airbags did not deploy during the accident, which to myself did not seem to be normal. Due to the severity of the damages to my car, it was considered not operational and had to be towed.
Engine light came on followed by small lurching evrytime vehicle came to a stop. Lurching progressed to large movement. Car to mechanic computer indicated a sensor issue. Had this replaced. 1 week later everything repeated mechanic changes other sensor. Car fine for 2 months although engine light continues to turn off and on, computer continues to say sensor. Engine light goes off again immediately followed by significant return to lurching and then car stalls out . New terrible engine noise. Waiting for mechanic to have availability.
Collision alert system flashes red and the Equinox brakes grab on and off, sometimes once and sometimes several times for no apparent reason - distance from other vehicles ahead is more than adequate, speed is moderate, no approaching cars. It seem that the system taps the brakes and then releases . This has happened 5 to 6 times even when no vehicles are in front and the driving conditions are normal - roads clear and dry, some overcast, no cars approaching from the other lane. The dealer is at a loss as to what is causing this.
Timing jumped and rotors have to be changed too much. Truck is burning too much oil , affecting the engine.
The contact owns a 2014 Chevrolet Equinox. The contact stated while driving 50 mph there were two vehicles ahead that were stopped. The contact brake the vehicle and felt that she loss control of the vehicle causing the vehicle to struck the guardrail. The contact was severely injured and seek medical attention. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 138,000.
02/19/2022 while driving down steep dirt road close to where we live the brake peddle suddenly went to the floor. We rapidly drove down this steep incline without any breaks the car bounced vilolantly untill we got to the bottom at that point the brake peddle resumed normal operation. Drove stright home without a repeat of no brakes. Will call chevy dealer on 02-22-2022 to come and get it and check it out.
Backing down a steep driveway with my foot on the brake working fine the first several seconds then the brake pedal went down to the floor and car rolled across a busy street jumping the curb and hitting a telephone pole and fence. No person or vehicle nor my vehicle was hit fortunately. A police report was filed. The rental company brought me a newer Equinox and the day after while backing out of parking space in hotel garage applying brakes the brake went to floor hitting wall as I put gear to neutral and then into park but it had already hit the wall.
