I own a 2012 Ford escape and have had it in the shop over ten times. I have brought it in for transmission issues and check engine lights coming on. Multiple times they have gave me an oil change and cleaned the solenoids. My transmission still sputters and once again my check engine light has come back on. One time I lost complete power and was almost killed in an intersection. If anyone wants to take my car for testing they can. I don't know what to do anymore and am scared that someone is going to get killed. Ford needs to be held responsible for fixing this issue. I have heard from multiple sites that this is a huge issue. The engine has been described to me like a helicopter and when it shifts like I am a nascar driver.
Rear drivers side window, exploded when I closed the hatch. The vehicle was parked in the garage and I had unloaded what was in the vehicle and then closed the hatch and heard a loud pop and then shards of glass flew everywhere. Luckily I was not hurt but did have marks on my chest area from the flying glass.
Rusted subframe- while getting an oil change I was told that the subframe was so rusted that the vehicle could not be placed on a lift. The mechanic said it was the worst he had ever seen and the car was unsafe to drive.
2007 Ford Escape Hybrid. Attorney writes on behalf of consumers regarding blue ox bx2609 base plate installation. The lawyer stated his clients experienced two dangerous failures of the base plate. What made the situation extremely dangerous is that it was almost impossible for a user of the product to inspect to inspect the product for any signs of damage prior to using the base plate to tow a vehicle. Once the base plate as installed, it was usually hidden by the bumper and front facade of the vehicle. On July 25, 2088 while driving, the base plate failed which caused the tow vehicle to swing violently back and forth across lanes of traffic. The metal bracket on the bas plate attaching it to the to vehicle (Ford escape) was ripped from the metal beam part of the base plate spanning the front of the vehicle. The failure occurred at the joint between the bracket and base plate beam. In total there was about $10,000 worth of damage to both the motor home and the tow vehicle. Another base plate was sent to the consumer and installed on the vehicle. On July 25, 2012, while driving and using the allegedly redesigned blue ox base plate, the consumer discovered the tow vehicle has become disconnected and found that once again the base plate failed. The base plate beam was ripped from the metal bracket attachment points in exactly the same way in which the previous base plate had failed.
When I drive, there is a loud almost like grinding noise. It started making that noise, four days after I bought it. As soon as I heard the noise, I immediately pulled off the road, called and had a flatbed come pick my vehicle up too take it back home. Iv replaced the front driver side cv axle. I took it on a short ride. It still makes that news. I've been trying too find any information I can, see if can figure out what's going on. I'm having no luck.
i have a 2002 ford escape, manual transmission with 66,000 miles on it. coming home from a weekend trip the clutch stuck and would have to be pulled up with your foot when having to slow down in traffic. we were able to pull off the road and call for assistance and towing to a garage where we were told that the master cylinder had went out.the mechanic said that this was very unusual for it to happen to a car this new. have there been any other complaints similar in nature to this?
trans has had to be repaired replaced rebuilt over 14 times in less than 100,000 miles and less than 2 years. the overdrive light starts blinking and the car jerks when the car shifts up or down, except the time i could only go in reverse and had to let the car roll into a parking lot off of a busy street. *jb
