my car 2014 gx 460 with 76000 miles has timing chain cover leak and it appears it is common failure from manufacture of toyota and lexus and lexus refused to repair it , my car it is one of 1000s car has same problem and lexus know this is manufactured problem
faulty coolant valley seal leaking coolant all over the motor.
the infotainment center in my 2014 gx460 is stuck in the rebooting phase. this system controls the cars temperature, radio, and vehicle settings. not being able to access all of the temperature controls poses a safety risk especially with extreme temperatures. ive heard this is a common issue with this vehicle and am shocked there hasn’t been a recall for it.
manufacture paint failure of the “blizzard pearl white” color. existing recall for the 2005 gx 470 models needs to be extended to include more vins experiencing peeling paint on the roof, hood and doors.
after just 6000 miles, all 4 of my tires have significant cracking on most of the blocks & sipes. i've already lose a few small sections of the blocks where these cracks have reached the tread. no punctures or blowouts, but i wonder how long they will be safe. kenda claim all damage is caused by stone drilling as a result of driving dirt roads (i've done 3-400 miles on gravel roads) and refuse to uphold their warrantee, from my research this can't be damage due to stone drilling.
my older son (30 something) was with permission taking his girlfriend home in our 2016 lexus gx460 luxury, a deer ran out in front of vehicle causing them to go to the right hitting the end of guardrail head on @ approximately 60 mph causing the vehicle to spin to the left. they were injured ie a few cuts & bruises not sever. front bumper & various parts scattered across the road. insurance is totaling out the vehicle.... but what really bother us is that of all the airbags (10) in this vehicle none diploid not one !
the driver, passenger, and rear tailgate electronic locks have all failed in the last 6 months on the car. i'm constantly having to remind my kids and wife to lock the doors before they start driving. i'm particularly concerned about the rear cargo door. the lock is failed in the "locked" position and there is not a manual lever to pull from the interior or exterior to unlock and open the door. i no longer allow my kids to ride in the 3rd row seat out of fear that there will be an incident where i need to get them out of the cargo door and it won't be available. the internet is full of reviews where this seems to be a widespread problem, but lexus has not acknowledged and no formal recall has been issued. i reached out to lexus this month to see if they would work with me on a solution, but was told my car is out of warranty. any help would be appreciated.
takata recall. i am filing a complaint that lexus has failed to remedy this defect within a reasonable time. being unable to utilize the front passenger seat has been extremely inconvenient for me and my family. i have contacted my local lexus dealership numerous times only for them inform me that the do not have the parts. its's been nearly 6 months now since i was made aware of the recall.
takata recall it has been over a year, and still "incomplete" without solution.
the timing cover gasket began to leak oil at 65,000 miles. this is a known manufacturing defect for this engine. *tr
