Keep getting message service trailer brake system. Over and over going down the road,.
I am left handed, and am most comfortable driving with my left hand at the 9 to 10 o'clock position. The chevy truck I just purchased has the cruise control settings to the left side of the horn on the steering wheel. Their is a protruding "thumb joystick" which is used to set the speed up or down by using your thumb or finger. Multiple times now my hand has accidently swiped this "joystick" while driving along a 30 to 35 mph public street and this turns on and engauges the speed control at the last saved set speed. Usually 65 to 70mph highway speed. The vehicle will then start to accelerate very quickly and if your reflexes aren't what they used to be, well 2+2.
The contact owns a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. The contact stated while starting the vehicle, there was a trailer brake control default message displayed. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 52,000.
I got a code p2138 throttle/pedal position sensor/switch. Upon doing my own research on this code I found out it is a manufacture defect. And they are aware this is caused because the manufacturer did not seal the antenna correctly so water gets in and damages wires and sensors.
I have 136,571 miles on vehicle. My speedometer has stopped working. I see that there are alot of people complaining about this problems on forums. There is a recall on some GMC vehicles, but alot of people are not meeting the requirements. . Why! I think the recall need to be expanded. I have another vehicle that has the same issue also a 2005 chevy in which I am going to file a complaint on that vehicle too. There has been no accident involved with my vehicles. Please help there are quite a few people with this problem and it should not be held by a class action lawsuit. There need to be a recalled placed on all chevy/GMC vehicles.
Engine misfires and is derated to 25 mph on highway. Engine knocks and rattles. Problem is a known failure on a good share of 2004. 5 through 2005 duramax diesel trucks where #2 and #7 fuel injector harness fails. Mfg know this is a problem and will not fix the truck until the problem has surfaced. This problem could result in rear end collision on highway.
Abs system is failing light comes on then brakes don’t catch, airbags message keeps coming on . Pulling in to store when it done it end up hitting the metal pipe in from of store to stop.
I own a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 3500. The speedometer and other gauges do not work properly. For example, the speedometer reads that I am doing 120 mph. Keep in mind I haven't even released the brake pedal yet. There is also an issue with the amperage gage. I have received a letter from Chevrolet extending the warranty, but of course even with the extension, it is still out of warranty. This is a huge safety issue. If the speedometer is reading 120 mph while sitting still, how do I know that when it says I am doing 55 mph that I'm not actually doing 120 mph. This is a defective part that gm manufactured. Looking at the internet, this affects pretty much all of the large gm trucks. I when to check the cost for replacement of this part and they wanted $450 just for a refurbished cluster. This is an on going problem and the corporation is giving out defective parts with out regard to the safety of the people driving the vehicles or anyone around them. An odd thing that I have noticed is that if I let the fuel to deplete completely, then fill it up, it will reset the speedometer the second fill up. I have tested this several times and it seems to reset it at least by the second time. If I do not deplete the fuel take it never gets below 40 an the speedometer. This un-scientific test has not affected the amp meter being bad though. This is continually happening.
The contact owns a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 3500. While driving various speeds, the instrument control panel gauges display inaccurate readings. The dealer issued a voluntary recall for the electrical system, but, because the contact's vehicle exceeded 70,000 miles, he would have to repair the vehicle at his own expense. The manufacturer would not assist. The recall number was unknown. The failure mileage was 50,000 and current mileage was 78,000.
