The air bag warning light has come on a few times and stayed on for about half a day, or a full day, before going off. This has happened a few times over the past couple of years. Because the light goes off, I have figured it was just an electrical malfunction and everything was fine. But I am concerned after seeing yesterday's recall notice about other Toyotas in which a problem with an electrical connection between the steering and air bags has meant that the air bags will not deploy. A warning light is associated with this problem. Do 2006 Scion Xas need to be included in the recall?.
I was alone, preparing to get on the turnpike access road when a car/van hit the right front passenger side of my car. Details of the accident were recorded many hours after the crash. I was never asked to provide details. My car rolled over twice down a steep-angled but shallow embankment and then righted itself upright. My seatbelt was fastened and snugged but at no time did the retaining function engage. The seatbelt functioned like a bunji cord. And the airbags (neither front airbag) deployed until many minutes after the crash, as I was sliding across the front seat and console as I began to exit the passenger side. I was and am still injured, have lost much use of my left wrist and hand, suffered a blow to the back of my head which temporarily left me deaf. I still have severe contusions of the left and right legs, and abdomen both externally and on the inside of the abdominal wall.
Driver hit a deer with left front end of vehicle, one sensor was smashed, but no air bags deployed!.

In June while getting off the exit to go home I was going at 25 mhp anf the car started to vibrate and I totally lost control hitting the exit sign. I got the car repaired and 2 months later on the interstate I was doing 55 mph when the car started to vibrate. Started to slow down, when the left rear tire blow out and cause the lost of control, spin 3 times and crashing into the guide rail. The airbags never open and the front and left side of the car were destroyed.
