click to see larger images I bought this car in June of 2020. I have not had this car for 2 years, less than 14,000 miles. Went to the dealership to get a Certified preowned car, also have a CarFax. Not going to write very much, just thinking about this raises my blood pressure. I went to the dealership, Orangeburg, SC for service and was told maybe I am washing it with the wrong solution, just sell the car to them and size down so that my payments will continue to be small. I am retired, I don't wash my car, I have it washed. I spent good money for this car, made a good down payment and now you want me to size down and just give you the car. NO! I have seen several reports on this problem, it appears that the thickness (using this term for lack of the scientific term) of the paint when applied to this car was not at the correct level in the factory. Therefore, the paint is not holding and in several spots it is now flaking off (and appears to be bubbling off) there is air under the paint. There are more important things going on in this world than my car paint; however, it does not seem that way to me. Whoever does quality control in this particular factory has made several mistakes. Never worked in quality control, but if it is not done right, the customer suffers. Nissan should fix this problem, at Nissan's expense.I was a return customer at Hudson Nissan, Rivers Avenue, Charleston, SC. I had a 2011 Black Armada. Other than this paint job, I did not have any problems. However, this looks very bad. I am not shy telling anyone who ask about my problem with this car and the dealership. I will continue to talk about this problem. I may not buy another car, but I promise you that all of the cars that I now see with this paint problem will hurt your with any future buyers.
While driving down the interstate, the panoramic sunroof exploded with nothing making contact to the glass. Nissan has denied repairs under warranty with no explanation. This is a common problem with Nissan sunroofs.
click to see larger images On a local television station news report, they indicated there were 19 Nissan Muranos that suffered exploding sunroofs and Nissan still says they are not at fault. I would like to be part of a class action law suit against Nissan because I was driving 120 kilometers per hour when this exploded and I almost drove off the road - and I was in the middle of the Coquihalla Highway where no one would have found me.Please find a US lawyer to launch a class action law suit and I will be part of it.

Should have recall. It's very poor carpet quality. It moves and come out.
I went to the dealer on Wednesday, November 6, to complain about the AEB light coming on. At the time, I wasn't aware that the car had a recall about something else. Anyway, he told me that they couldn't get the code, because it was too long between the first time it happened and when I took the car in on Monday, November 11, 2019, the service person told me that it came on because it was snowing and that'll come on when it rains. It has rained several times since I've had the car since July 1, 2019 and the light didn't come on. I'm going to the dealer where I purchased the car and talk to the salesperson and service department person to show them the complaints I've seen.
click to see larger images We purchased the 2018 Murano platinum on Oct-13-2018 from Cochran Nissan (7 River Heights Dr, Cochrane, AB T4C 0N8). The accident happened on Friday Dec-27-2019 around 3:00 pm on Crowchild Tr near University of Calgary. I was driving with my 6 year old son on board when all of a sudden there was very loud explosion sound. I was so shocked that I lost control of the car for a short period time. Luckily, no car was around me which also means no road debris present.I took photos of inside and outside the sunroof window around 3:45 pm (see attached pics) showing the glass was shattered into small pieces. On 30-Dec-2019 Brasso Nissan Ltd (195 Glendeer Cir SE, Calgary, AB T2H 2S8) let me know sunroof glass is not covered and would like to replace the glass for $1,500 CAD. I contacted Nissan Canada and they asked me to go back to dealer or my insurance company. I don't think my insurance company cares when a defective accident occurred, plus my policy deductible is $2,000. It's very unfair to ask the customer to pay the bill for a potential manufacture defect with the tempered glass.

At approximately 9pm est, I was driving through LaGrange GA on my way to Carrollton GA at about 5mph while approaching a traffic light preparing to come to a complete stop. When all of a sudden this very loud banging noise startled me and my wife, it certainly sounded like a gunshot. I parked the car and looked around the outside of the car, and didnโt find any damage. I got back into the car and drove about a block while hearing this loud air noise coming into the car as if a window or door wasnโt closed. I stopped again to check everything, all looked okay except when I checked the sunroof, there was a very large breakage in the sliding glass. I drove it all the way home about 35-40 miles hearing all the glass shaking onto the shade which divides the sunroof and the inside of the car, with all of the loud noise from the air rushing in. The next day, I checked to see if there were any notifications about a recall on this, and couldnโt find any. So I then took the vehicle to the repair shop and theyโre still working on getting it fixed. (May 22 - to now which is June 12th) estimated time of repair would be one or two more days! ( Not an easy repair) Note: Nissan Consumer Affairs has no knowledge of how this could have happened, and assumes no responsibility! So my insurance company has to pay all for the repairs except for the five hundred for my part. I m not happy with Nissan with there cheaply made sunroof, and their No Concern!
click to see larger images My rear passenger window exploded as I was driving down the street one evening. I head a loud "Boom" and then glass falling into my back seat. My initial thought was that someone might have shot or thrown something at the car as I was driving. It was just before 10 pm on a Saturday evening and there were no other cars on the street. I immediately pulled off the road and called police. We could find no explanation for the shattered window and I was baffled, so I googled it and found out that this has happened to many other Nissan owners. On Monday morning, I called Nissan's North American Headquarters. I filed a report with them and obtained a case number. I was told that someone would be calling me back in reference to my case. That same evening I went to my local Nissan dealership, from which I had purchased the vehicle brand new almost one year ago. I had printed off copies of reports on the internet from other Nissan owners who have experienced exactly the same thing. The service representative entered it into their computer system and long story short, my local Nissan dealership installed a new window, presumably under my 3 year, 36,000 mile factory warranty. They did tell me that they would take care of it "this one time as a goodwill gesture". Nissan North America finally called me back almost two weeks later to notify me that "they would no longer be investigating my case, due to lack of evidence". What! This made me extremely angry with Nissan. They HAVE to know by now, since they currently have a class action law suit against them for their tempered glass sunroofs doing the exact same thing! I have purchased three Nissans in the last 15 years and I can tell you that I will be trading my 2018 Nissan Murano very soon and I will NEVER buy another one.
