🇺🇸 nissan pathfinder 2021 [Other] Defect age: 1 Mileage: 25000

I bought a 2022 Nissan Pathfinder Platinum for $60k in August 2021. It's October 2021 and this car has 5 recalls already. I took it in for that, plus hearing noise, a knocking noise, and now learned the brand new car has bad struts!!! How in the world does this happen and they don't have parts and they say it's fine to drive? A brand new 2022 and nothing but problems! Nissan is definitely disappointing. Right now, there's no resolution!

Started immediately after purchasing the car! Infotainment system would freeze for 30-45 seconds several times a day after traveling for about 20 minutes, and it scrolls through screens on it own, and turns off heat/ac on its own. After multiple complaints, taking the car into the dealership and showing videos of the issue happening several times and being told they "could not duplicate the problem," I finally wrote to their corporate office. I had to take the car in one more time I was finally able to get the entire system replaced. When I picked the car up, I was told that the new system was manually programmed to prevent any glitches. Lasted almost four months before another issue popped up. While driving the volume on the radio turned all the way up to its max completely on its own and scared that crap out of me. As it was going up I could see the on the screen the volume bars quickly increasing to full blast without me touching either the dash or steering controls. Unfortunately, this is just the beginning of problems I've had with this car. If you know anyone thinking about buying one warn them not to!!!

🇺🇸 nissan pathfinder 2021 [Light] Defect age: 2 Mileage: 50000

AEB (Automatic Emergency Braking) light randomly comes on which disables the AEB. Since the AEB is a significant part of Cruise Control, it also disables Cruise Control. Having a functioning cruise control is probably not an issue for someone who lives in downtown New York but when you live in Texas and the closest WalMart is 10 - 15 miles away or shopping centers are 30-50 miles away, it is a pain in the ass. Cruise control is used all of the time. Cruise control has been around for decades. We expect that a cruise control system will work every time because it always has worked. We do not expect that the accelerator will drop to nothing and cruise control to shut off for no reason while cruising down the road. But that is exactly what happens due to the defective AEB.This appears to be a SOFTWARE and HARDWARE glitch. Software is reliant on the hardware to work correctly and to send valid values. If the hardware sends intermittent error messages, the software has to respond due to the government requirement that vehicles have AEB. BUT AEB should not apply to cruise control. The user should have the choice on whether or not to enable AEB while using cruise control and not simply disable cruise control.Update from Jan 7, 2021: Appears to disable itself when passing a slower vehicle. It has not, as of now, engaged the brakes. It just beeps, turns on the dash indicator light, and disables itself. When it disables itself, it also disables cruise control.Update from Jun 13, 2021: For a couple of hundred, the dealership re-aligned the radar systems which corrected the problem.

🇺🇸 nissan pathfinder 2018 [Other] Defect age: 1 Mileage: 50000

Noticed a rattle coming from the passenger back seat area. I have checked inside the car for anything that would cause a rattle, so far the only thing we can find is a plastic "mudflap" looking thing underneath the back passenger side door that rattles back and forth. Definitely annoying when you're driving.

🇺🇸 nissan pathfinder 2020 [Other] Defect age: 3 Mileage: 75000

My 2017 Pathfinder with a 61k miles has the fan shroud needing to be replaced. Just like all the other complaints that 2017 Pathfinder Owners have experinced! I am very pissed off that this has not been recalled by Nissan! NISSAN listen up ... YOU NEED TO RECALL THIS AND FIX THIS NOW!!!

🇺🇸 nissan pathfinder 2021 [Other] Defect age: 4 Mileage: 50000

My 2017 Pathfinder started making a load rattling noise that also caused vibrations under my feet when driving. I've been told it is the radiator fan and replacement is not covered by warranty and it will cost around $1,200 to fix. I have to get it fixed and I am currently looking for a repair shop that may be able to do so at a lesser cost then the dealership. I've looked into it and it appears multiple owners have had this issue and had to pay out of pocket. Why is this not a recall? How do we get Nissan to recall pathfinders for this issue? It should be fixed by Nissan, not the owners who trusted them to sell a safe and reliable product.I can honestly say this will be the last Nissan we will ever buy within our family. I understand cars needing repairs after 100,000 miles but at 41,000 we should not expect major issues. Nissan needs to re-evaluate how they handle issues with their vehicles or they will loss potential clients in the coming years.

🇺🇸 nissan pathfinder 2019 [Brake] Defect age: 2 Mileage: 25000

During PA Inspection Nissan dealer measures brake pad wear. Pathfinder has 15400 miles, 85 percent highway driving. New pads measure 12/32. My front brake pads measured 11/32 but back pads measure 7/32. Spoke to service manager, asked what exactly do back disk brakes due? Told and then confirmed at Nissan back pads pulse rapidly keeping Pathfinder from nose diving when stopping. Ask than how can back pads be almost half worn out and front pads new. No answer that made sense. Could not get Nissan dealer to tell me if there was still a balancing valve in brake system. In older cars there was. Dealers could balance your brake system so brakes were used equally. This is only one of the on going problems with the Nissan Pathfinder. Back brake pads wear out at approximately 20 to 25 thousand miles. On my 2013 Pathfinder (had same problem) traded in on 2017 with 66,000 miles front pads measured 8/32, had to replace back pads three (3) times. Can get no help from Dealer or Nissan.

🇺🇸 nissan pathfinder 2019 [Other] Defect age: 2 Mileage: 25000

Check engine light went on at 13, 400 miles. The dealership said that we had a P0101 code with the mass air flow sensor. They charged $260 and denied warranty because we installed a K&N filter (no oil). We've been using K&N filter on all our vehicles with no issues. I think Nissan just decided to be cheap and denied warranty. Warning to other consumer about Nissan. They will not stand behind their warranty.
