I had visited the dealer several times to tell them first about my leather seats. The leather has cracked and the layer has peeled. And my dashboard has cracks and it is melted. Every time the car went into service I had spoken with several advisors and 2-3 service managers. They took pictures and they said that they will get back to me. I made sure I did all of this before the factory warrantee expired. Till this date my Lexus looks like brand new outside, and the inside looks like it is 100 years old. I will never buy a Lexus model ever again unless they make good and repair these problems. I bought this car because it was a pebble beach edition and paid top dollar for this car. You would think the higher priced cars would last longer and this one has disappointed me. I have a 2001 Ford f 150 and this truck is the best vehicle and half the price of the Lexus Rx 350. Please help me get my car fixed.
My dash is cracked and falling apart. I was told there was a recall on them but I never received it. When I asked the dealership about it, they told me that it was past the allotted time frame to get it fixed or replaced. I park in the garage at home and at work.
Front dashboard cracking and peeling off - have not received any recall notices but have seen this issue appear on others complaints. We have heard there have been recalls but have received no notices to date to be able to have repaired.
The dashboard is sticky and cracking. It started back in 2009-2010 when my fingernail would catch in the plastic when turning key ignition. Now there are cracks completely across the dash and pieces have fallen off. It is also sticky to the touch. Have brought back to Lexus dealer and twice they have not come back to me with a resolution from customer assistance. Have seen problem with other Lexus and Toyota vehicles and have had other cars in FL that have not had never had issues with the heat such as this. I am the sole owner of this vehicle since 2005.
The Lexus Rx 330 is on recall by Lexus because the dash has developed cracks,I have been waiting 2 years for a replacement and was told by Lexus of orlando I am number 1024 on their list fro replacement. By the time they get to me according to my calculations the year will be 2095 at the pace that they are replacing the dashes. Also Lexus has a problem with their brake light switches, all of them seem to develop a problem where the vsc, brakes and abs lights all come on at the same time. This problem has happened to all three Lexus' that I have owned. They are aware of the problem because right next to the shifter is a small cover to bypass the hard shifter.
The dashboard began to melt. Literally. I tried to wipe it off and the towel melted into the dashboard the dealership blamed it on armor-all. The car was about 7 y/o at the time. I am the second owner. I did not research this until I saw a program that suggested the airbags may be affected. Thank you.
Melting dashboard.
I purchased the vehicle on 17th of June 2021. I noticed the dashboard is cracked really bad. I did research on the Lexus dashboards and found previous recalls on the Lexus dashbaords including the 2004 Rx330 models. How can I get this fixed if the recall is not listed for the VIN number on my vegicle?.
the navigation system does not have voice commands for "suspend guidance", "resume guidance", "cancel guidance", etc... this means in order to stop navigation it must be manually turned off while the vehicle is in motion. this requires manually entering the command which requires watching the display and causes distracted driving. it is not a safe condition and i am unsure why toyota/lexus removed the voice commands since both our 2006 and 2007 toyota prii have them and are much safer cars to drive because of it. also toyota/lexus has modified the navigation so that it continues talking even when using the bluetooth hands free phone option. which means the navigation voice talks over your phone call. this again can cause distracted driving as you are talking to someone and suddenly the loud navigation voice begins speaking as well. this is another unsafe change toyota/lexus has made as both of our prii do not allow the navigation system to override the bluetooth hand free phone. i am not sure why a 2013 lexus that is 6 years newer than our prii and costs twice as much has such an unsafe navigation system but it needs to be corrected as soon as possible. both problems readily cause distracted driving. *tr
