Tl the contact owned a 2011 Nissan Altima. The contact stated while her grandson was driving 65 mph, he lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a wall. First the rear end made contact and then the rear passenger side and front passenger side banged into the wall. The contact stated both front driver and passenger side air bags deployed. A police report was filed. The contact stated the driver sustained internal bleeding, part of his intestine removed, chipped bone on his right knee. And multiple glass fracture removed from his body and the front passenger sustained a slight concussion and right ankle was fracture needing surgery. The vehicle was deemed totaled by the insurance. The vehicle was towed to an impound lot. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired as of yet. A dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer had not been informed of a failure cause. Upon investigation, the contact associated the failure with NHTSA campaign number: 11v371000 (suspension), however the VIN was not included in the recall. The failure mileage was unknown.
Purchased 2008 Nissan Altima on March 6, 2021 from the car house in butler, NJ. Since the moment I drove off the lot, multiple lights turned on which turned out to be alternator and multiple 02 sensors. The next day I had a garage do an inspection and it turned out the car needed a rear control arm, shocks, brakes and rotors in additon to the lights. The dealer said that I had a 90 day warranty but when I called the company they had no record of the contract. The dealer fixed the sensors and alternator supposedly, but haven't contacted me back about fixing the other issues and every time I call they hang up.
consumer noticed the vehicle would sway in the rear and make noise. the dealer inspected the vehicle and found the rear sway bar was disjointed.ts scc *jb
my 2001 nissan altima gxe/le car has a problem with its suspension. it makes a crunching/rattling noise. my car has been to 2 nissan dealers a total of 9 times. in all it has been out of service for 17 days. they have replaced many suspension parts. but the problem still remains. i have contacted the manufacturer several times with my complaints via phone and letters. i have also demanded a refund under the california lemon law. but nissan of north america has refused. on march 2002, i filed a complaint with the bbb auto line program. once the bbb auto line reviewed my complaint they contacted nissan. we had a nissan dts person inspect my car. i test drove with him and he verified my existing suspension problem. i agreed to give them one more chance to fix my car on april 12, 2002. the dts person ordered both front struts and springs replaced again. as of september 2002 the same suspension problem has re-occurred. on october 2002, i finally decided to contact a lawyer experienced in the lemon law cases. he wrote the first demand letter to nissan. the letter mentioned all my problems and demanded a lemon law buy back because of the suspension defect. on december 2002 my attorney?s office had to send nissan another letter, because they had failed to respond to the fist one. well just recently on january 2003 nissan finally decided to respond to the letters and after numerous phone calls that were made to their office. nissan said that based on the number of repair attempts, along with the type of repair that was performed to resolve the complaint, we do not feel that there have been any substantial repairs performed on the vehicle for the same non-conformity. nissan went on to say that they are not required to repurchase your client's vehicle, therefore demands for repurchase and restitution of associated fees, is denied. they again offered to have a dts(dealer technical specialist) come out and inspect my vehicle. for the alleged suspension complaint.
tl*the contact owns a 2004 nissan altima. while driving approximately 65 mph, the contact noticed that the steering wheel was difficult to turn and the tires made a loud roaring noise. the dealer stated that the alignment was fine and then proceeded to rotate the tires. a few days later, while driving at an unknown speed, she felt and heard a loud vibration coming from the tires. she purchased a new set of tires, but a few weeks later she noticed a roaring noise coming from the new tires. she returned to the dealer and they stated that her alignment was off and the vehicle was never correctly repaired. she notified the manufacturer, but they did not provide any assistance. the purchase date was unknown. the failure mileage was 13,903 and current mileage was 50,000.
banging in right front passenger side took the car to apple nissan and was told by technician that it need front struts the car only has 23 thousand miles i believe this to be a manufacturer's defect. there is no way the struts should go bad this quick they quoted a price of $500 to $600 dollars. *tr
