Since the 1st day I drove it I heard the annoying wind noise from both front windows, sounds like you have a window cracked for air flow, except they are all the way up. Finally took it to the local dealer & even had a Tech Rep ride with me that also heard the noise. Multiple complaints on-line on the Toyota Forum. Waiting to hear back from dealer, has been over a month. Really irritating especially with the price of the vehicle. Others have said it is the seal on the hood, some the side mirrors, but Toyota doesn't seem to care about fixing the issue.Have been a Toyota owner all my life, now Not so much. 14,000 miles and ready to turn it in for another vehicle..
The driver seat is really uncomfortable. I'm not sure about the other seats since I'm almost always the only person in the vehicle. When sitting in the seat it does not feel level on the bottom area. Also the right and left edges of the seat dig into the sides of my thighs after riding for 15 minutes or more. The center pad almost feels the same way as if you rolled a bathroom hand towel in a roll. Place the towel under you with one rolled in directly under your middle (butt area) and the other rolled end between your legs, parallel to your two legs and close to the knee area. For a male person it has the feeling as if your male parts are being pushed up in an uncomfortable position.
I expected a very comfortable seat with all the positions available, but I haven't been able to find one. Besides that, the door rest is so low it is unusable. I am going to reach out to Toyota with a complaint, not sure what to do to make it better.
The Drivers seat on my 2020 Toyota Highlander Platinum is very Uncomfortable.i am 5β11 tall and I cannot get the seat adjusted to be comfortable. I have had to add a cushion atop the existing bottom section of the seat. I owned a 2019 Toyota Limited that was very comfortable and it offered the extended leg support that is missing on the 2020. I have had this vehicle back to the dealer three times and have a complaint case number with Toyota North America.
My 2020 Highlander Platinum has a driver's seat problem that I did not experience in my previous Highlander vehicles (2014, 2015, 2016,2017,2018 and 2019) and all Limiteds. The seat does not have the leg extension all previous Highlanders had. Moreover, the drivers seat new design whereby my right hip is painfully impacted. I am 5'11' and weigh 183 pounds. Within minutes of driving this vehicle, I become very uncomfortable. I have temporarily fixed the discomfort by adding a cushion to the seat-bottom. I have owned Toyotas for over 30 years (40 in all). I have reported this problem to my local dealer in Pinehurst, NC. Their initial inspection stated the seat is functioning as designed. I will return to the dealer with the same original complaint.
I have owned and rented quite a few cars in my day and I don't normally have this issue but my 2020 Highlander front seats are very hard and after about 1.5 hours are unbearable. Didn't notice it during the test drive as it was too short to notice but they are unbearable after sitting awhile. Last time I took an 8 hour drive I was noticeably sore for 2 days afterwards. I have tried every adjustment possible and nothing helps. I am a larger guy but I don't normally have this issue, I am also someone who doesn't normally get aches and pains but these seats are torture on long drives. From what I can tell it's a seat design issue. The outer rim of the seat is hard and unforgiving, if you have some width to your body it will get to you. Someone more narrow may avoid the hard edge and not have the issue. Honestly a hard flat rock would be better to sit on as it would not have pressure points on that outer rim. Seriously considering getting rid of what is otherwise a great vehicle.
I am not able to adjust the drivers seat and steering wheel to a comfortable position. I have spent hours trying different combinations
2020 Highlander. I bought it certified pre-owned with 8,500 miles on it. Noticed water on the passenger floor when leaving and dismissed as wet shoes as it was raining. After the problem reoccurring on the passenger side, I noticed that it was dripping down from inside the dash. At the dealer now - it's being looked at.
Very annoying wind sounds from side mirrors (I imagine) while driving specifically on highways.
During extreme cold temperatures (-15C and below) and during low speeds / cold starts there is a loud squealing sound while the vehicle is in motion. It does not replicate in higher ambient temperatures or at high speeds.
