The problem I have is intermittent. Sometimes when you press the gas pedal it will rev up to 2200 rpms before it starts moving. Returned to dealer and was told they couldn't duplicate the problem. They didn't drive it (same mileage checked out as checked in). Now when you roll up to a stop sign come to a complete stop and start to go and its like its stalling before engaging. It also acts like a hybrid if setting at a traffic light. The RPM's go to 0 like it has cut off. I was told by the dealer that you had to push the A with a circle around it as it was part of the new emission bulls** on the new models. That helps some, but it still does it intermittently. I hate to think I have spent $58,000 on a piece of s. It has the 3.5 twin turbo that has awesome power once you get to moving. It will pass everything but a gas station. The MPG is for s* but that's another complaint. If I had it to do over I would never have traded. Toyota should be ashamed of themselves for letting this flaw go. Disappointed as hell in this (it's supposed to be the best truck built). Does anyone know what I can do? I live in Alabama and our lemon law is weak as rain water.

click to see larger images Bought this 2022 tundra for its brand-new engine and fuel efficiency system. The sticker states 17 to 22 with a combined rating of 19 MPG.I am a very good driver and don't like to push my cars too hard. For my Honda Odyssey, Acura MDX, Lexus Rx400, I was able to achieve the highest MPG as they advertised. The first 400 miles, I was only getting 14.5 MPG. Maybe it is because the dealership filled it with 87 gas. I put in Costco 92 gas the second tank, I was only getting 15.6. On the third tank, I put in Shell 92. Still , I am averaging 15.5. I didnt haul anything. My routes were 50% highway, 50% city. I live in a small city where they aren't many traffic lights.

I didn't think this would be a problem, I'm 5'6" and my wife is 5'1". My 2022 Tundra has no adjustment on the seat height. This might not be a problem if you're 6'5" but in most cases this particular model has tow mirror which is a great option until you try to see around or over them. I contacted Toyota and was advised to sit on a phone book to see over the mirror if it's an issue. I didn't pay 50k plus to sit on a phone book! The blind spot is awful and Toyota will see a bigger issue in the future over this problem because they tried to save a couple hundred dollars. I did get the run around by Toyota to call the dealer and the dealer said Toyota had to issue the complaint with a case number, so here I sit.

High-pitched noise when reversing. This happens when vehicle is cold and parked.There's a squeaking sound when you apply the brakes. Consider that this is a brand new truck. I've been dealing with this noise for the last two months.

The MPG at best is 15.2. I don't drive crazy or excessive speed and it's mostly highway driving.

Upon filling up with fuel at various fuel stations, when the pump shuts off and is removed from the filler neck, fuel begins to come back out the filler neck and pour out onto the vehicle and ground. Vehicle only has 2000 miles on it and has done this from day one. The spills have ranged from a cup full to half a gallon making a hazardous and potentially deadly situation. Another dealer in nm advised some Toyota vehicles have done this due to a defective overflow valve in the fuel tank. My local dealer has had me return several times even though I have video evidence of the defect. Toyota USA has also not been helpful with trying to fix the problem.

I accelerated from a stop making a right turn in a normal manner to keep safely in front of oncoming traffic, I had no power although I kept pushing the accelerator. Multiple lights flashed on the dash. I coasted to the shoulder of the road. After I stopped, all the lights on the dash had gone out but the engine was still running. It responded normally after that. Dealership said a communication code showed but was not related to my issue. I had three other "loss of power incidents" since all at low speed, either starting from a stop or attempting acceleration after a turn. The yellow triangle flashed those times but traffic did not allow me to keep pushing on accelerator. After a short coast power returned. Dealership reported no code. Experience similar to description of behavior of vehicles in Toyota fuel pump recall. I believe it is the fuel pump. Dealership and Toyota customer service tell me I must drive it until it "fails" and shows a code. Safety issue, accident waiting to happen.

I bought a new 2020 Toyota Tundra 4x4 crewmax and it is not perform to what a v-8 powertrain of 5. 7 lt, and 381 horse power should be. The accelerator on this 2020 Tundra is not functioning properly. It will not accelerate when I step on the gas pedal, which almost stall before it moves. In addiction, I owned a 2007 Tundra 4x4 crewmax and there was not a single acceleration problem. The VIN# for my new 2020 Tundra crewmax 5tfdy5f1xlx912265. I believe Toyota has installed the accelerator incorrectly or their fuel pump is not working properly on this new 2020 Tundra models.
