The contact owned a 2015 Honda Civic. The contact stated that as her son was merging onto a highway at 25 mph, an SUV sideswiped the vehicle which sent the vehicle into a tailspin. As the vehicle continued to spin, her son lost all control of the vehicle as the rear bumper hit a cement barrier. The airbags did not deploy upon impact. Her son was cut out of the vehicle to the accident; however, he did not sustain any injuries or need medical attention. A police report was filed at the scene. The vehicle was destroyed due to the accident and was towed to an independent tow yard. The dealer nor the manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The vehicle was a total loss. The failure mileage was approximately 130,000.
2007 Honda Civic. Consumer states problem with vehicle tires the consumer stated the rear tires had to be replaced three times. The consumer stated it was a known defect as Honda issued a TSB to the dealership describing the problem, but no notification was ever sent to the consumer.

tl* the contact owns a 2003 honda civic hybrid. the contact stated that the vehicle would violently jerk when accelerating from a stop and also when driving at various speeds. the failure recurred on an intermittent basis. the vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer numerous times where various transmission and engine repairs were performed, but the failure continued. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure and offered no assistance. the failure mileage was 5. the vin was unavailable.
bought the car with 80k miles in 2017. the A/C was not working when I got it. the clutch on the compressor was not engaging, but before deciding that was the problem, checked pressure in the system. there was none (aka there was a leak and all the refrigerant was gone). I Recharged the system and added UV dye to find the leak. When refrigerant was added, the compressor worked fine (so I knew it didn't need to be replaced.) It blew cold for a little while but quickly got hot again so you could tell there was a big leak. Used UVlight to look for leaks, did not see any anywhere in the engine compartment, so I realized the leak must be in the evaporator (which is quite the process to get at. You have to take out the glove box and the blower motor and a few other pieces (there are good youtube videos online). Sure enough there was a big puddle of fluorescent goo in there. SoI replaced the evaporator (as well as the attached expansion valve because you might as well do it while its all taken apart already), sealed everything back up, vacuumed moisture out of the system, and recharged with new freon. A/C works now. although if driving at high speeds for a long time on hot days, it doesn't work quite as good. but the parts were about 130$ plus about 50$ for refrigerant and PAG oil. You will also need a gauge and hose set and a vacuum pump. OR you could have it done professionally (probably a better choice but much more expensive- was quoted at 800$ because of all the labor involved in getting to the evaporator compartment)
extremely disappointed. how can a 2 months old radiator be so fragile? honda denied it was a defect by manufacturer which i have to end up paying $511.65 for the replacement of radiator. i feel like being cheated and robbed. *ak
i bought a honda civic 2000 and the vehicle has a major flaw in its car seats. it produces high electricity shocks when you touch the doors (metal). i think this is a major defect and a potential lawsuit for honda if someone gets seriously injured in an explosion. this is an everyday issue and my family is even afraid to get in the car. *ak
every time engine is turned off very loud clanging and banging noises come from under the vehicle on the front driver's side. vehicle was taken to the dealership. dealer stated that the noises came from the catalytic converter cooling down and contracting, which was a characteristic of the vehicle. please provide any further information. *ak
